Fletcher's Trip to Belgium
At 12 years old, Fletcher the Italian Greyhound is no stranger to international moves—but that doesn’t make it any less impressive. Skittish by nature and not the biggest fan of other dogs, Fletcher’s gentle soul requires a soft touch and lots of reassurance. Thankfully, his recent journey from Virginia to Brussels, Belgium, went off without a hitch.
This marked Fletcher’s seventh international relocation—a true globe-trotter in a petite, nervous package. Despite his usual jitters, Fletcher arrived well rested, calm, and clearly in good hands. His human was relieved and grateful to see him step out of his crate looking alert and cared for.
Now settled into his new European home, Fletcher has big plans—of the slow and cozy variety. With Brussels offering up to 17 hours of daylight in the summer, Fletcher has ample time to sniff his way through cobbled streets, enjoy quiet strolls away from the crowds, and nap in every sunny spot he can find.
His bucket list? Nothing too wild. Just some peaceful people-watching from a sunny window, a few low-key cafe visits, and the comforting scent of waffles drifting through the air as he drifts back to sleep.
Here’s to Fletcher’s next chapter—a calm and cozy life in Brussels, filled with naps, sunshine, and all the peace his little heart desires.
